NEW Training Opportunity – Workers’ Compensation 101
Sunday, May 21, 2017
New to your role as workers’ compensation coordinator? Just need a refresher? Workers’ Compensation Services is excited to launch semi-annual workers’ compensation training focused on the nuts and bolts of handling your claims at the agency level!
On July 18 and July 20, 2017 from 9:00AM to noon, we will provide Workers’ Compensation 101 via live GoToTraining. If you are local to Richmond or want to attend in person, approximately 30 seats will be available to attend in our training room here on the 6th floor of the Monroe Building in downtown Richmond.
This training is geared toward those agency representatives who have fewer than 2 years of WC experience, report a low volume of claims annually or simply feel like refreshing their knowledge of the workers’ compensation basics.
In these training sessions you’ll learn:
- Tips for entering a new accident report
- The importance of timely claim filing
- Your role in investigating claims
- Forms and information needed after filing a new claim
- Tips for working with the MCI benefit coordinator
- Coordination of VSDP and workers’ compensation
- Available technology resources
Registration is now available in the new COV Learning Center. If you are unable to register through the link listed, contact your agency’s Learning Center administrator. For more information about the course, contact Pam Goetz at [email protected]. The deadline to register for this class is July 14, 2017.
